Egle is both an artist and psychologist. You couldn’t take either subject from her life, as for her, they perfectly come together in the results of her work. She strongly believes in the aesthetic and therapeutic importance of interactive art, which Egle realizes through a continuum of various perspectives, such as conceptualism, photography, environmental art, the concern about the apotheosis of consumerism, human rights etc.

At the moment Egle is based in Liverpool, where she already realized two parts of her main work “Three ideas of Plato: beauty, love and truth”. "T/HERE" is her 10th art project in the UK.

“Yes and no”.
These three words are one of the best ways to describe one of the visually impaired participants of the project, John. That’s how he starts many answers, which shows his non categorical and non-judgmental character. Being a subtle thinker, attentive to every detail and gratefully experiencing each second, John took a very special place in the workshops. Walking with John Edgley you find simple and honest meanings which you leave behind while rushing through the day looking for complicated solutions.

Vertical lines, playful shadows, contemplation and a sense of longing are typical for John’s photography.

Elaine was diagnosed with autism when she was 22. She is a person full of hidden talents and surprises. Elaine can easily impress anybody with her piano improvisations, technical knowledge about airplanes, robots, watches and more, archival memory for animal names, especially birds, creative funny stories, quotes and her honesty. She has this amazing ability to teach herself anything she becomes interested in, sophisticated mind and a strong curiosity about the world that surrounds her. This perspective is recognizable in almost all her shoots. Elaine uses the camera to get “into” or “over” to reach the highest, deepest and the most secret spaces she can.

Julieann O’Malley is an interdisciplinary artist based in Liverpool. Her practice both for galleries and public space is fundamentally live durational performance installations, video work, sound and photography. Julieann has also been working in documentary film and photography for the last 10 years working on a range of feature length documentaries, on environmental issues as well as artistic projects and commissions for Channel 4.

Kevin has optic nerve hydroplasia and lives in Walton with his wonderful wife Neda and their three children. Subtle in his choice of subjects Kevin picks mostly landscapes or buildings to convey critical messages. Fascinated about technology Kevin soon picked up techniques of the camera and took interesting if not at times, politically motivated pictures depicting surrounding areas of Walton.

Kevin’s open approach to this project has helped a great deal as he has experimented along the way, engaging him to consider different perspectives and the composition of the produced images.

Even though Tana is diagnosed with Asperger syndrome and doesn’t like to engage with phones or the Internet, she has the keenest interest in birds and connecting with the outdoors on a daily basis.
Independent and constantly professional, she impressed from the beginning, with her passion, technical knowledge and perspective on ideas.
Tana’s enthusiasm and passion for photography can clearly been seen through the images that she has produced from abstract to urban landscape, where both capture space in different contexts.

Petra started her photographic career in Sweden. She has a BA Hons Degree in Photography. She is particularly interested in conceptual art photography and her work often stages images and sculptures that touch upon humans’ denial of over-consumption and its effects on the environment. Stridfeldt’s work has been exhibited widely in the UK. She is also a keen travel photographer and she will in late May be off on a once in a lifetime adventure by riding her motorcycle around the world. She is planning to be away for a year and a half. Chineze came from an art and design background including interior, fashion and web. She began taking photos as a hobby a few years ago. As she has found it to be a therapeutic and satisfying outlet she has made it part of her business. Taking photographs allows others to see the world through her eyes whether those images are generated via her autistic self or individual psyche and as a result feel that the media of photography is powerful enough to initiate an understanding between autists and non autists alike.

Chineze is a very impressive and enthusiastic collaborator who is incredibly creative and experimental when it comes to composing her photographs and she is also eager to learn about photography.
